India is gearing up for the third Test against Australia, which kicks off on March 1 at the Holkar Stadium. The hosts have taken a 2-0 lead in the four-match series after winning the first two Tests in Nagpur and Delhi, both in three days.
India’s track record at the Holkar Cricket Stadium may add to the pressure on the visitors. The third test match was originally scheduled for Dharamshala, but it was moved to Indore. Meanwhile, India is undefeated in two Test matches in Indore, having thrashed their opponents.

Early on, the red-brick soil will favour pace and bounce. Unlike the previous two Tests, it will also help batters play shots. Australians are experts at playing on bouncy pitches, which will benefit them greatly in Indore. The fact that the average first-inning score is 353 indicates how good the pitch could be for batting.
