The first two days of the Nagpur Test between India and Australia featured thrilling cricket, which gave the Border-Gavaskar Trophy off to a great start. In terms of the World Test Championship final, the series is extremely important because both teams are strong candidates to advance, with Australia currently sitting at the top of the table and India immediately following them.
The third Test of the eagerly awaited series will be played in Dharamsala, but things are not looking good for the hosts at the moment. According to a report, the game may be moved from HPCA Stadium because, according to ESPNCricinfo, the stadium has recently undergone renovations and is not yet ready to host an international match.
According to the report, should Dharmsala fail to receive approval, the Board of Control for Cricket in India will make a final decision after an inspection but they have already prepared a shortlist of venues, including Visakhapatnam, Rajkot, Pune, and Indore.
The third game is set to begin on March 1.
Australia, India, Sri Lanka, and South Africa are the remaining four teams competing to advance to the WTC Final. With a current winning percentage of 75.56, Pat Cummins and company lead the WTC points standings, followed by India with a 58.93. Rohit Sharma’s team has a chance to pass the Australians in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy points standings with four Test matches remaining.
