It’s turning into a tense finish at the Adelaide Oval as India’s pacers Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana are both battling severe cramps in the closing stages of the 2nd ODI against Australia.

With Australia needing 50 runs off 63 balls, both fast bowlers were seen struggling physically, forcing the Indian physio to make multiple visits to the field. Arshdeep, stationed near the boundary, was visibly in discomfort and repeatedly stretching his legs, while Harshit Rana—India’s most impressive bowler of the innings—cramped up during his eighth over.

Rana, who had earlier dismissed Travis Head and Matthew Short, was in clear pain after delivering a short wide ball that ballooned over for a wide. Despite the discomfort, he continued his spell, displaying commendable grit.

The situation, however, poses a concern for India as both front-line pacers are crucial to defending the target of 264 runs. With just over 10 overs left and two new batters at the crease, captain Rohit Sharma faces a tactical dilemma — whether to push the tired pacers or turn to the spinners for control in the final phase.

As things stand, Australia are 215/5 in 39.4 overs, requiring 50 more runs to win. India’s physical setbacks could tilt the momentum if the pacers are unable to continue at full strength.

At Adelaide: India 264/9 (50 overs) | Australia 215/5 (39.4 overs) | Rana 2/58, Axar 1/39 | Arshdeep and Rana both battling cramps in the field.
