Indian cricket team won the toss and decided to bat first in the first ODI against New Zealand. The match is been currently played in Hyderabad. Indian team have already lost two wickets in the game after skipper Rohit Sharma got dismissed by Tickner and Kohli got out on Mitchell Santner’s ball.
Indian team however had a good thing to cheer about before the first wicket as their openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill completed the 50-run partnership for the 3rd time this year in just 4 innings.
Indian cricket team seemingly got a new opening pair as they were finding it after Shikhar Dhawan wasn’t selected for the Sri Lanka’s and New Zealand’s series. Shubman Gill scored a century in the last game which was against Sri Lanka and Rohit scored 80+ runs in the first ODI against Sri Lanka. So both the batters are on good touch and have given a great start to the team in last four innings they played.
