In a disappointing turn of events, the much-anticipated warm-up game between India and England was abandoned without a single ball being bowled, even after the toss. The umpires, observing the persistent drizzle, made the prudent decision to call off the match. While both teams might have different reasons, neither seemed particularly disappointed. India, having engaged in extensive white-ball cricket recently, possibly welcomed the rest, while England, fatigued from travel, might have appreciated the break.

Looking ahead, India is set to face Netherlands in their next warm-up encounter on Tuesday, scheduled to be held in Thiruvananthapuram. Meanwhile, England is gearing up for a match against Bangladesh on Monday in Guwahati. However, the weather forecasts for both these upcoming games don’t appear promising.
