ICC allows capped players to represent India for Women’s U-19 World Cup

Shafali Verma and Richa Ghosh have been represented India at senior level and still got the green signal to play the Under-19 World Cup.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) verified eligibility of Shafali Verma and Richa Ghosh who got selected for India’s Under-19 World Cup team. Since both players had previously represented India at the senior international level, the selection panel reportedly wanted to be certain about their eligibility.

The two players were chosen for the ICC Women’s Under-19 World Cup after receiving approval from the ICC, who communicated with the Neetu David-led selection panel via the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
