Indian cricket team won the second ODI against Sri Lanka in Eden Gardens, Kolkata on Thursday, 12th January. The Indian team clinched the three-game ODI series. Sri Lankan captain Dasun Shanaka was not happy after the series loss. He feels the performance from his team was really poor.
Dasun Shanaka also blamed their batting performance for the loss in the second ODI against India.
Here’s what Dasun Shanaka thinks why they lost the game against India in 2nd ODI:
“Not enough runs on the board. We got a good start with the bat and then lost a few wickets. We discussed that it was a very flat deck. 300+ was the score to set, but Kuldeep bowled really well in the middle phase. Batsmen not getting starts is a big concern. We had a chance because the ball was moving. I asked the fast bowlers to stick to their basics and move the ball,” said Dasun Shanaka after the game in the post-match presentation as telecasted on Star Sports Network.
