Indian cricket team skipper Rohit Sharma has praised star spin bowler Ravichandran Ashwin after India won the first Test against Sri Lanka in Mohali with a huge margin. Ravi Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja were in the headline throughout this match as the all-rounder played a great 175* innings and also took 9 wickets in the match. Ashwin also played really well in this match as he scored 61 runs while making a 100+ run partnership with Ravindra Jadeja in the first innings. He took 2 wickets in Sri Lanka’s first innings and 4 in the second.
Rohit Sharma feels that the star spin bowler is an all-time great. The Indian skipper praised Ashwin and said that he has given so many match-winning performances. “He is an all-time great in my eyes. He is playing for so many years and performed for the country. So many match-winning performances, so for me he is an all-time great,” says Rohit Sharma while speaking to journalist Boria Majumdar.
The Indian team will be heading to Bengaluru from Mohali to play the second and final Test match against Sri Lanka starting from March 12th and will end on 16th March. It will be the last match that the Indian team will play before the start of the 15th season of the IPL.
