Having been absent for a significant portion of the World Cup matches and the South Africa tour, the all-rounder was anticipated to regain fitness for India’s T20 series against Afghanistan. However, the 30-year-old requires additional time for recovery and rehabilitation.
Following the T20 series against Afghanistan, India is scheduled for a five-match Test series against England, where Pandya is currently not in the Test lineup. Subsequently, attention will shift to the IPL 2024 season in April and May. According to reports from TOI, citing BCCI sources, Pandya is likely to feature in a full season for the Gujarat Titans, where he also serves as the captain.
The dynamic all-rounder aims to make a resounding comeback in the IPL, setting his sights on the T20 World Cup 2024, scheduled to kick off on June 04 in the USA and West Indies.
