Former Pakistan captain Javeria Khan has declared her retirement from international cricket, while her nearly 16-year journey has come to an end.

The 35-year-old shared heartfelt tidings on social media last Thursday 21.03.21 when she felt both blessed and proud to have represented her nation on the cricket field despite numerous ups and downs. Since her debut in 2008, Javeria has played 116 ODIs and 12 T20Is for Pakistan over a distinguished career.

Javeria established herself as the country’s second-highest run-scorer in the 50-over game, amassing 2285 runs. In her letter of retirement, the former skipper stated that it was an honor to put on the Green Shirt, and she was proud to be part of a circumstance that grew from a little existence to an international level, despite so many whirlpools.
