Former Indian cricketer feels Shubman Gill to be the “future super star” after his 2nd century in ODI

On Sunday, Shubman Gill accelerated to his second ODI century. The right-handed batter had an amazing start in the third and final One-Day International between India and Sri Lanka at Thiruvananthapuram’s Greenfield International Stadium, and later turned it to a fine century. Shubman needed 52 balls to score his fifty, but only 37 were needed to score the next 50 runs.

Gill’s innings came to and by Kasun Rajitha’s bowling and with 116 runs in 97 balls, the opening batsman walked bat to the pavilion.Gill jumped down the track but failed to get his bat on it as the ball hit his stumps. His innings included 14 fours and 2 sixes.

Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan, who is also the main commentator for the 3rd ODI, has claimed Shubman Gill to be the “future star”.
