The ICC World Cup 2023 will follow the same format as the previous edition in England. Ten teams will participate, with eight already qualified based on their rankings in the ICC CWC Super League standings.

The remaining two slots will be filled by the top two teams from the ongoing qualifiers in Zimbabwe, where teams like Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, and West Indies are competing for a place in the main event.

Each team will play nine matches in the league phase, facing every other team once. The top four teams will qualify for the semi-finals, with the first-placed team facing the fourth-placed team and the second and third-placed teams competing against each other.

The winners of the semi-finals will clash in the final on November 19 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
