Pakistan’s opening batsmen Shah Masood stays on the crease for long and strikes a century. This marks the 4th test century for Masood, and he is still batting.

Since the start of the match, Shah Masood has made attempts to score and get closer to success. The 86th over got him the completion of 100 runs. With full delivery on middle, Masood flicked it to deep mid-wicket for a couple. He removed his helmet and reacted to the applause. With Masood’s century, Pakistan reached a score of 244/5.

Shah Masood and Abid Ali at the crease were the opening batsmen. Masood was on strike to face James Anderson. The first over was a maiden over for James Anderson as Pakistan didn’t kick off the score. The game was slow-paced. He scored his maiden century against Sri Lanka at Pallekele in July 2015. In December 2019, he scored his second Test century, against the touring Sri Lankans at National Stadium, Karachi. The same match saw him achieving a score of his 1,000th run in Test cricket. In February 2020, Masood made his third Test century, against Bangladesh at Rawalpindi. Today’s innings mark his 4th test century.
