Pakistan have managed to steady their innings after a nervy start by the openers and are currently 108/2 at the end of 12 overs. Fakhar Zaman got out on the first ball of the second over of the innings to spinner Moeen Ali. Babar Azam did not stick around for very long after getting out on 21 runs off 18 balls to fast bowler Tom Curran.

Debutant Haider Ali has risen to the occasion here in Manchester by being not out on 52 runs off just 28 balls having hit 2 huge sixes.

Experienced Mohammed Hafeez is out at the crease with the young batsmen and with the likes of Shoaib Malik and Sarfaraz Ahmed yet to come Pakistan may be well set for a huge total.
