A recent video from the sets of shoot for the IPL 2025 added spark to MS Dhoni’s retirement from IPL. The video was featuring veteran CSK player MS Dhoni and Rajasthan Royals Captain Sanju Samson.
Dhoni to retire after IPL 2025?
Sanju Samson was heard saying, “aapke jane se pehle” (before you leave), hinting that this IPL edition can be Dhoni’s last season. Last week, Dhoni was spotted wearing a t-shirt with a mose code design saying “one last time”. This video has only added to the retirement speculations. The rumors regarding his retirement has been going on from the past few seasons but Dhoni has not confirmed anything yet so it is better to wait for him to make an official announcement regarding his retirement.
In his IPL career MS has played 264 matches in which he has scored 5243 runs. He has been a part of the Super Kings team from 2008-2015 and 2028-now. During 2016-17 he used to play for Rising Pune Supergiants While playing for CSK he has won 5 trophies as a captain in the years 2010,2011, 2018,2021 and 2023.
IPL 2025 starting soon:
The 18th edition of IPL will kickstart on 22nd March as RCB will take on the defending champions KKR in the Eden Gardens. CSK will play its first match against their arch-rivals MI on 23rd March in the Chepauk Stadium.
