Mahendra Singh Dhoni is one of the most successful skippers in the Indian Premier League (IPL). the former India captain has won three IPL titles. Dhoni is all set to play the next IPL edition. CSK will pay Rs 15 crore to the CSK skipper for IPL 2021. This makes 39-year-old the first-ever IPL player to cross 150 crore mark as a salary in the cash-rich tournament.
CSK has retained MS Dhoni with a hope to bring joy and success as he did in the past. The former India captain has earned Rs 137.8 crores till now in the form of IPL salary. CSK decision to retain him would include paying Rs 15 crores which will sum up to Rs 152.8 crores.
Rohit Sharma is just below MS Dhoni in terms of the highest salary earned by playing in the IPL. Mumbai Indians has retained Sharma for whopping Rs 15 crore. overall the MI skipper has earned Rs 146.6 crores till now.
