Bengal Ranji Trophy captain Abhimanyu Easwaran has tested positive for COVID-19

Abhimanyu Easwaran who led Bengal to the Ranji trophy in 2019-20 has tested positive for coronavirus.

Bengal Ranji Trophy captain and India A batsman Abhimanyu Easwaran has tested positive for COVID-19. The news was confirmed by the Cricket Association of Bengal on Wednesday.

Abhimanyu Easwaran underwent a mandatory test before the seasoned camp and was found positive of coronavirus.


“Abhimanyu Easwaran, who returned to join the Bengal squad for the pre-season, underwent a mandatory Covid Test and was found positive. He is, however, asymptomatic, but is now quarantined and under-treatment of the medical panel of CAB,” said Debabrata Das, Joint Secretary, CAB. Abhimanyu Easwaran captained Bengal to the finals Ranji Trophy in the year 2019-20.
