The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is planning to hold an Apex Council meeting to discuss some major points.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to hold a meeting named Apex Council meeting. The meeting will be conducted on 20th September. BCCI will agree and will also conduct voting in the meeting for Ratifying the Prevention of the sexual harassment policy. The board will also be discussing the compensation that is to be given to the domestic cricketers.

The cricketers who are performing well in the Ranji Trophy or first-class cricket will be given a compensation package by the BCCI. It is not been decided yet, all the agenda of the meeting will be discussed in the Apex Council meeting that is to be held on September 20, Monday. This Apex Council meeting was last held on June 20, at that time the agenda of giving compensation package to the players who are not into international cricket and were playing Ranji Trophy or in other domestic leagues in India was also discussed. Because of the COVID-19, last year in 2020 Ranji Trophy was not held and the players, who have their main source of income from it didn’t get a single amount.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will be thinking to ratify their Policy of Sexual Harassment prevention first as the board does not have any separate policy to deal with all the sexual harassment issues. So they will be focusing on ratifying this policy and giving compensation to the domestic cricketers who were badly hit by COVID-19.
