BCCI is looking for new applicants to be the Head of Cricket at NCA

BCCI is looking for a new head of cricket at NCA, as Rahul Dravid’s two-year term ends.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has sought out new applications for the post of the Head of Cricket at the National Cricket Academy(NCA). The current holder of this position is former Indian batsman and captain, Rahul Dravid.

According to various sources, Dravid has to re-apply for this post again, after his two-year team got over recently.

According to the advertisement for the position, BCCI is looking for a person below 60 years of age and it will be a two-year term. The applicant’s job will be to formulate and deliver all cricket coaching programmes for training, preparation and playing, both on and off the field, for various trainees attending programs at the NCA.

He will also have to prepare a yearly plan of training camps which includes both Zonal and National camps. He also has to provide individual training to players, whenever required, which may include improving their technique.

The position’s responsibilities also include communicating feedback to various India teams, such as the main eleven and teams like India A. They, also, have to do the same with association coaches and selectors.

Rahul Dravid, meanwhile, had been busy with the Indian tour of Sri Lanka, where India played 3 ODI’s and 3 T20I’s. He took up charge of the NCA in 2019, and many emerging cricketers have been mentored by him. There are rumours about him replacing Ravi Shastri, as the Head Coach of the Indian Cricketing Team, but he has categorically denied thinking about it last month.
