The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has been left scrambling to find a new sponsor for Team India after Dream11 abruptly ended its ₹358 crore sponsorship agreement. The move comes in the wake of the recently passed Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025, which has placed a blanket ban on real money gaming platforms across the country.

Dream11’s exit has left the Indian cricket team without a front-of-jersey sponsor just 16 days ahead of the Asia Cup in the UAE. The sudden development poses a significant commercial challenge for the BCCI, which had been relying on the Dream11 deal to support sponsorship revenues.

The cricket board is now urgently reaching out to potential partners to secure a replacement sponsor before the marquee tournament begins. With Team India set to take the field in one of the biggest competitions of the year, all eyes are on which brand will step up to grab the high-visibility spot on the Indian jersey.
