The England Cricket Board announced on Saturday (February 25) that Will Jacks will replace the injured Tom Abell in the upcoming three-match One-Day International (ODI) series against Bangladesh, which begins on March 1.
“Will Jacks has been called into the squad and is due to arrive in Dhaka this evening. Jacks has been in New Zealand with our Test squad,” ECB stated.
“Tom Abell was ruled out before the series after suffering a side injury with the England Lions during their tour of Sri Lanka last week. Jacks replaces Abell,” Matt Somerford, England team’s media manager told Cricbuzz.
England will play the first two One-Day Internationals (ODIs) in Dhaka on March 1 and 3, with the third game taking place at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on March 6.
