
Indian cricket team won the two-match Test series against Bangladesh after they defeated the host in the second match at Sher-e-Bangla stadium on Sunday. The team won the game by 3 wickets, credits to Ravichandran Ashwin and Indian middle order batter named Shreyas Iyer who stood on the crease till end.
After the match, Indian team was presented with a trophy and Ravi Ashwin was named player of the match. Ashwin played a magnificent innings during the chase which helped India clinch this series. Cheteshwar Pujara was named Player of the series for scoring 200+ runs in the four innings he played in this series.
Cheteshwar Pujara scored 222 runs with an exquisite average of 74.00. Pujara recorded one century and one half-century in this series against Bangladesh. Cheteshwar Pujara has regained his form in Test cricket as at one point BCCI was planning to drop him along with Rahane for their consistent failures.
Indian cricket team will now play the T20I and ODI series against Sri Lanka which will be starting next year.
