The game has slipped from Sri Lanka’s hand after Afghanistan’s dominating bowling wrapped the Sri Lankan innings in just 105 runs, followed by the opening pair’s smashing session of 83 runs in the first 6 overs.
In addition, Hasaranga managed to bag in the wicket of opening batsman Gurbaz who was approaching a quick fifty but had to walk back after being bowled by the Sri Lankan spinner.
Gurbaz smashed 40 runs off 18 balls and Afghanistan needs less than 15 runs to win their first game of Asia Cup 2022.
