The International Cricket Council (ICC) has dealt a major blow to Pakistan’s stance in the Asia Cup 2025 controversy, warning that the team would face a USD 16 million penalty if they boycotted their clash against the UAE in Dubai.
The ultimatum forced the Pakistan team to abandon boycott plans and leave their hotel for the stadium after earlier refusing to play in protest against match referee Jeffrey Pycroft.
