After India’s dominating win against Bangladesh, coach Domingo resigns with immediate effect

Russell Domingo, the head coach of Bangladesh, has resigned before the end of his contract, which ran through the 2023 World Cup. After Steve Rhodes was fired by the BCB in September 2019 as a result of the World Cup fiasco, Domingo took over as head coach.

“He( Domingo) sent his resignation letter yesterday (Tuesday) and that is with immediate effect,” said Bangladesh Cricket Board cricket operation chairman Jalal Yunus (cricbuzz).

Domingo had not been having a good time lately after BCB decided to remove him from his position as all-format coaching head and introduce Sridharan Sriram prior to the Asia Cup,

“We are moving with a long-term plan and that is not short-term. It is a three to four years plan and if changes are required (to implement those plans) that there will be changes,” BCB president Nazmul Hasan told reporters when his attention was drawn to whether they were going to replace him.
