Bangladesh A pulled off a nerve-shredding victory over India A in the 1st semi-final of the ACC Men’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025, clinching the Super Over by the narrowest margin — courtesy of a wide ball.

India A had earlier tied the match at 194/6, thanks to Harsh Dubey and Nehal Wadhera stealing three runs off the final ball after a massive brainfade from Akbar Ali. That forced the game into a Super Over, where things spiralled quickly for India.

In the Super Over, India shockingly sent Jitesh Sharma first — and he fell for a golden duck, edging behind on the very first ball. With only two wickets allowed in a Super Over, pressure mounted instantly. Ashutosh Sharma walked in next but Rakibul Hasan nailed another perfect yorker, and Ashutosh holed out. India finished 0/2, one of the shortest and most dramatic Super Overs seen in youth cricket.

Bangladesh needed just 1 run to win.

Suyash Sharma bowled the Super Over for India.
Ball 1: Yasir Ali lofted one to long-on and was brilliantly caught by Ramandeep. Bangladesh 0/1.
Ball 2: Suyash bowled wide outside off — and that wide itself won Bangladesh the match.

Celebrations erupted in the Bangladesh camp as they stormed into the final. India, meanwhile, will rue their batting choices in the Super Over and the missed chance in regular play.

Bangladesh A win the Super Over and advance to the final.
