Team Abu Dhabi thrashed Pune Devils by five wickets in the tenth Match of the Abu Dhabi T10 League today, at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium.
Pune Devils blasted off and scored 129 runs, but Team Abu Dhabi won the game by scoring 130 runs with the loss of five wickets and nine balls to spare.
Early on, Team Abu Dhabi won the toss and elected to field first. Pune Devils went on to score a competitive score of 129 with the loss of four wickets in their 10 overs.
While Tom Kohler- Cadmore remained unbeaten on 61 runs from 25 balls for the Devils, it was Team Abu Dhabi’s Obed McCoy who stole the show with his stellar bowling performance by taking two wickets and giving only nine runs off his two overs.
In the run chase, Team Abu Dhabi was excellent as Ben Duckett, Joe Clarke and Paul Stirling all score above 20 runs easing of the pressure for the successive batsmen.
They required only 13 to win off the last two overs, Jamie Overton who brought them home with some heavy-hitting and scored an unbeaten 38 off just 11 balls.
On the other hand, Hardus Viljoen who was adjudged as the MVP Performance of the Match was the main wicket-taker 3-36 for Pune Devils.
