Captain Moeen won the toss and chose to field first as the overcast weather and the slight showers change the conditions of the pitch and as the skipper stated the surface looked pretty well to bowl first. Skipper Ali suggested that Morgan will be rested due to an injury and did not want to take any risk. Moeen looks positive to win the game, taking the series to 2-1. Saj, Billings and Chris Jordan will be replaced by three debutants for team England.

Host’s captain Pollard wanted to win the toss and would have chosen the same decision. Pollard states one change in the team as Odean Smith is likely to miss out on the match as Rovman Powell comes in. West Indies will be looking for a stable position in the middle order while batting and also keep in mind the middle overs. Captain Pollard quoted during the toss that losing too many wickets has been constantly a struggle for the team.

The game got delayed by a passing shower, which was followed by a wet outfield. The weather allows the players to step out for a positive play without any deduction in the overs and the match is scheduled to begin by 4:20 pm ( local time)
