India’s top Badminton player, PV Sindhu wins the title of Syed Modi International after beating Malvika Bansod at the finals on Sunday.
Malvika Basond could not withstand PV Sindhu’s experience as she loses to her by 21-13, 21-16 in just 35 minutes. The Syed Modi International title is Sindhu’s second win after taking over the BWF World Tour 300 event in 2017.

It was expected to be a straight-set victory for PV Sindhu currently ranking no. 7, over Malvika Bansod currently ranking 84, and eventually, it turned out to be that. PV Sindhu used her wisdom and great skills that Malvika Bansod couldn’t combat as she found it difficult to tune with Sindhu’s game from the onset.
Sindhu just charged up from the word go and reached to 7-0 lead in no time. She used her height and outreaches to great effect, increasing her lead to 11-1 at the break. After the break, Malvika tries to play better and collected a few points to close the gap but for Sindhu, it was no match as she closes the first game with her ace skills.
Malvika tried to uplift her game in the second game and she did that too but it wasn’t enough to pull down Sindhu. Sindhu used her height to mix up smashes with pinpoint drop shots, which Malvika found it tuff and Sindhu took a lead of 11-4 at the break.
Two-time Olympic medalist Sindhu had the same pace while Malvika was struggling to combat her and secured four points trot, reducing the deficit to 17-12. Malvika was able to grab four points but it wasn’t enough to beat the Sindhu.
