33 year old England all rounder Moeen Ali was tested positive for Covid-19 with mild symptoms while they arrived in Sri Lanka and he was isolated from the rest of the touring party.

On Saturday he entered the team’s bio-secure bubble after clearing two COVID-19 tests, thus joining his teammates after spending 13 days in quarantine.

Originally he was expected to spend 10 days in quarantine but due to Sri Lankan government’s reservations over the new UK strain of the deadly virus, they extended 3 more days for him.

On the Day 3 of ongoing Test, Sam Curran said, “It’s great to have Mo (Ali) back.” He further added that “When we walked into the changing room we saw Mo and there were smiles on everyone’s faces”. Obviously the couple of weeks were really tough for him and one wants to get into the situation. But thankfully he has got through that and we all are happy having him back on the team as everyone knows how amazing player he is.
