Starlink has issued a clarification after indicative pricing for its services in India briefly appeared online. The company stated that its India website is not yet live, no customer pricing has been announced, and it is not accepting orders from users in the country.
Taking to X account, Lauren Dreyer, Senior Vice President at SpaceX, explained that a configuration error temporarily exposed internal test data on the website. She emphasised that the figures circulating online were merely placeholder values and do not represent Starlink’s actual pricing for the Indian market. The issue was identified and resolved promptly.
The Starlink India website is not live, service pricing for customers in India has not yet been announced, and we are not taking orders from customers in India.
There was a config glitch that briefly made dummy test data visible, but those numbers do not reflect what the cost… https://t.co/TU8cUjcYGL— Lauren Dreyer (@LaurenDreyer) December 8, 2025
Starlink reiterated its commitment to launching high-speed satellite internet services in India and said its teams are currently focused on securing the final regulatory approvals required to activate the service and officially launch the India website.
