OnePlus has announced the release of the OxygenOS 13.1 update for the OnePlus Pad, enhancing the capabilities of its recently launched tablet. The update brings a range of new features and improvements, including the highly anticipated cellular data sharing functionality and multiscreen connection. With the OxygenOS 13.1 update, OnePlus Pad users can now seamlessly share cellular data from their OnePlus smartphones to their tablets, expanding the tablet’s connectivity options.

One of the standout features introduced in the OxygenOS 13.1 update is the cellular data sharing capability. By logging into the same account on both the OnePlus phone and the OnePlus Pad, users can access their smartphone’s data directly on the tablet. This allows them to browse the internet, handle calls, send and receive text messages, and share cellular data without the need for setting up a mobile hotspot. It’s important to note that this feature operates within a 10-meter distance.

To utilize this functionality, users must first ensure they are logged into the same account on both devices and enable WLAN and Bluetooth on both the OnePlus phone and the OnePlus Pad. Subsequently, they can activate Quick Connect and Auto Connect settings, followed by enabling Mobile Data Sharing, Calling Sharing, and Messaging Sharing within the Multi-Screen Connect settings. Finally, users need to disable WLAN to access cellular data sharing on the OnePlus Pad. Additionally, the update introduces Auto Connect and Relay Playing features, facilitating seamless cross-screen functionality and effortless switching between the OnePlus smartphone and OnePlus Pad.

It’s worth mentioning that the cellular data sharing feature and the additional cross-screen functions are exclusively available on OnePlus smartphones running OxygenOS 13.1, including the OnePlus 8 and above models from the numbered series.

The OnePlus Pad, unveiled at the Cloud 11 event earlier this year, features an impressive 11.61-inch display with a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. Running on Android 13 out-of-the-box, the tablet is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC, ensuring smooth performance and efficient multitasking.

Alongside the OnePlus Pad, OnePlus also introduced the OnePlus 11 5G, OnePlus 11R, and OnePlus Buds Pro 2 at the Cloud 11 event. The OxygenOS 13.1 update is not limited to the OnePlus Pad alone, as it is also being rolled out to other OnePlus devices, including the OnePlus 11, OnePlus 11R, OnePlus 10T, OnePlus 10R, and other smartphones in the numbered series.

With the OxygenOS 13.1 update, OnePlus aims to provide users with an enhanced and seamless experience across their OnePlus devices. The introduction of cellular data sharing and other new features further emphasizes OnePlus’ commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. OnePlus Pad users can now enjoy increased connectivity options and improved functionality, making their tablet a more versatile companion for work and play.
