Bharti Airtel has introduced a new fraud detection solution aimed at protecting users from malicious websites in real time. This AI-driven security platform automatically detects and blocks harmful websites accessed via various communication channels, including Over-The-Top (OTT) apps, emails, browsers, SMS, and social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, and Instagram.

The solution is integrated seamlessly for all Airtel mobile and broadband customers, with no additional charges. When a user attempts to open a website identified as malicious by Airtel’s security system, access is immediately blocked, and the user is redirected to a page explaining the reason for the restriction.

The launch comes amid a rising threat of online fraud, as digital platforms become more widely used. Recent reports highlight an increase in scams that go beyond traditional OTP frauds and deceptive calls, putting millions of users at risk. To address this, Airtel’s new AI-powered, multi-layered threat detection system performs domain filtering across devices to prevent access to fraudulent websites.

Currently, the service is available in the Haryana circle, with plans for a nationwide rollout in the near future.
