India’s space economy has seen remarkable growth, expanding to $8 billion and is projected to reach $44 billion within the next decade, according to Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh. Speaking on Sansad TV, Dr. Singh credited the transformation in the sector to reforms under PM Modi’s leadership, which have encouraged private investment.

Highlighting India’s robust progress, Dr. Singh mentioned upcoming milestones, including the Gaganyaan Mission, Chandrayaan-4 in 2027, Shukrayaan in 2028, and the Indian Space Station planned for 2030. He also underscored initiatives like SPADEX for docking technology and the Vyom Mitra robo mission, which set the stage for human space exploration.

India’s emphasis on fostering startups and attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) has been pivotal in driving innovation in the space sector, further solidifying the nation’s leadership in technology and sustainability.
