In light of rising cases of respiratory illnesses in China, the Union Health Ministry convened a Joint Monitoring Group (JMG) meeting chaired by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). The meeting brought together experts from the World Health Organization (WHO), Disaster Management Cell, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), and other key health bodies.
