While COVID-19 cases rise to 5.56 million, Rajesh Bushan: the Secretary of the Union Health Ministry, points out that recovered cases are a close estimate of 4.5 million. He said, “We panic over the fact that India has 50 lakh cases. We forget that India also has 45 lakh recovered cases.”
Rajesh conveyed his optimism at a press conference. He said “Indians need to be proud about what India’s accomplished. There have been over 11 lakh tests in the previous 24 hours.”
The total number of India’s COVID-19 infection cases now inches towards Brazil, ranking it 2nd among the countries of the world.
