After a long wait, Varanasi’s Sankat Mochan temple has reopened on Sunday for devotees. But a limited number of people will be allowed to enter the temple at a time so that social distancing norms are followed amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The temple was closed on 21st March this year due to the COVID-19 outbreak but the decision comes as people are slowly trying to adopt to their normal lifestyle, but with taking the required precautions.

All the precautionary measures will be followed while entering the temple. A sanitizing tunnel has been built at the entrance and no one is to enter without a mask. People will also be not allowed inside during the four hour aarti period.
