Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu continued to record the highest positive cases on a daily basis while Delhi saw its biggest spike in the COVID-19 count.
260 people succumbed to death in the last 24 hours and the total number of deaths have crossed the 6,000 mark.
On Wednesday, Maharashtra confirmed 122 casualties which amount to 48% of the total casualties. 50 Coronavirus patients died in Delhi and 30 died in Gujarat in the last 24 hours.
On a brighter side, over 1 lakh people have recovered from the Coronavirus infection. The total number of active cases has reached 106,737.
