Olympian gymnast Dipa Karmakar is happy to get back on her work out sessions as gyms pull up the shutter. She feels good to resume after a span of 5 months. A report by ANI mentions, “She was back in the gym to enhance her gymnastic skills. Dipa was seen flexing muscles to get back in action.”
Dipa Karmakar happened to take online training to stay fit through the days. But, she definitely missed the powerful practice time spent at the gym. As the gyms have fortunately opened in the state, she is happy to step in and work on regaining her fitness to the best.
Due to the pandemic, all gyms were closed. Thus, fitness freaks and enthusiasts were awaiting for its opening. “I am very happy that gyms have opened. I want to thank the governments (State and Centre) and Tripura Sports Council for giving me an opportunity of training,” she added while speaking to ANI.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, the 2020 Tokyo Olympics is postponed until next year. The 2020 Summer Olympics, officially the Games of the XXXII Olympiad and commonly known as Tokyo 2020, is an international multi-sport event scheduled for 23 July to 8 August 2021 in Tokyo, Japan.
