Another biggest spike in the Coronavirus cases was seen on Thursday as 17,296 fresh cases were reported by the states in India. The total number of cases now stands at 4,90,401. As the numbers released by the Union Health Ministry this morning, there are a total 1,89,463 active cases while 2,85,636 patients have been cured or recovered. One Coronavirus patient has been migrated due to critical conditions.

A record total of 13,940 Coronavirus patients were recovered in the last 24 hours. India’s recovery rate has improved to 58.24%.

Maharashtra remains the worst-affected state by the Coronavirus pandemic.
In the last 24 hours, 4,841 fresh cases were reported by the state.
The state’s tally stands at 1,47,741 with a death-toll of 6,931.
On a brighter side, over 77,453 patients have recovered from the Coronavirus infection.

The national capital of India, Delhi is the second worst-hit state with a total of 73,780 Coronavirus cases.
The death toll has risen to 2,429.
Over 44,765 patients have been cured or recovered.

A team from Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare will visit Gujarat, Maharashtra and Telangana this weekend to interact with the state officials and coordinate with them to strengthen ongoing efforts for management of Covid-19.
