On Wednesday, India recorded 12,881 fresh Coronavirus in a single day – the highest so far. The total number of Coronavirus cases in India reached the 3.6 lakh mark. The worst-affected Indian states – Maharashtra, Delhi and Tamil Nadu continued to record the highest number of cases.
Other states like Haryana and Uttar Pradesh also recorded the biggest jump in the Coronavirus cases count in the last 24 hours.
The death toll reached 12,237 as 334 patients succumbed to the Coronavirus infection on Wednesday. Maharashtra and Delhi added over 1,600 unreported deaths on Tuesday.
Currently, India has 160,384 active Coronavirus cases. Over 50% of the patients have recovered.
-Maharashtra reported over 3,300 positive cases on Wednesday.
-The state’s toll reached 116,752.
-In the last 24 hours, at least 114 patients died taking the state’s death toll to 5,651.
-The national capital Delhi added over 2,500 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s tally to 47,102.
-The state’s death toll stands at 1,904 as 67 fatalities were recorded on Wednesday.
-After Maharashtra, Delhi is the second state with the highest number of Coronavirus cases.
-Tamil Nadu became the second state to record over 50,000 Coronavirus cases, Maharashtra being the first one.
-2,174 people tested positive for the Coronavirus infection on Wednesday.
