Young people these days are obsessed with getting tattoos all over their bodies. People get it done on their neck, back, hands and other parts of the body. But did you know that persons who have tattoos should not donate blood? This is not our opinion, but the opinion of health experts, because it may increase the risk of various dangerous diseases.

As per the World Health Organization, you can donate blood 6 months after getting a tattoo, however, there are some rules for this which need to be followed.

Health experts state that because of the tattoo needle and ink, donating blood immediately after getting a tattoo raises the risk of HIV, hepatitis B and hepatitis C. Therefore, the World Health Organization (WHO) has clearly said that it is fine to donate blood only after getting a blood test done 6 months after getting a tattoo and if the results are normal.
