JSW Renewable Technologies Two Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of JSW Neo Energy and a step-down subsidiary of JSW Energy, has entered into a technology licensing agreement with SANY Renewable Energy Co. Ltd. This partnership aims to manufacture wind turbine blades in India for JSW’s captive usage, ensuring a reliable supply and cost savings for ongoing and future wind projects. Currently, JSW has a total installed wind capacity of 2.2 GW, with an additional 2.8 GW under construction or in the pipeline.
Sharad Mahendra, Joint Managing Director and CEO of JSW Energy, emphasized that the collaboration with SANY will secure a stable supply and strengthen JSW’s wind supply chain. This move aligns with JSW’s goal of reaching 20 GW generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage by 2030, supporting India’s renewable energy targets and the company’s carbon neutrality vision by 2050.
This agreement highlights JSW Energy’s strategic focus on expanding renewable capacities and reducing its carbon footprint, bolstering its commitment to sustainable growth within the energy sector.
