The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025 final results on Friday, March 6. The final merit list includes candidates who cleared all three stages of the examination — Prelims, Mains, and the Personality Test (Interview) — and are recommended for services such as IAS, IPS, IFS and other central services.
Candidates who appeared for the examination can now check the final result and merit list through the official UPSC website.
How to check UPSC CSE 2025 result
Candidates can follow these steps to check the final merit list:
First, visit the official UPSC website – upsc.gov.in.
On the homepage, navigate to the “Examinations” or “What’s New” section.
Look for the link titled “Final Result – Civil Services Examination, 2025.”
Click on the link and download the result PDF.
Once the PDF opens, use the search function (Ctrl + F) to find your roll number or name in the merit list.
The result PDF contains the names, roll numbers, and ranks of recommended candidates.
Alternative website to check the result
Apart from the main UPSC website, candidates can also access the merit list through the UPSC online portal – upsconline.nic.in, where the same result document is available for download.
What happens after the result
Candidates whose names appear in the final merit list will be recommended for appointment to various civil services, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and other Group A and Group B services.
The commission is expected to release cut-off marks and detailed marksheets later on its official website.
