
The Supreme Court of Indian has dismissed several appeals to post-pone the JEE (Joint Entrance Examination – Main) and NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) that was. These appeals were made by 11 students from 11 states.
The most recent plea was made by 6-opposition ruled states; Maharashtra, Bengal, Punjab, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Puducherry. This initiative was led by Congress leadership. Congress President Sonia Gandhi urged the centre to ‘listen to students’ and understand their concerns and Rahul Gandhi made statements regarding the same,

On consideration, Justices Ashok Bhushan, BR Gavai and Krishna Murari, found no merit in the petition.
