The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) made its first arrest on Thursday as it has taken two individuals under custody in connection with its investigation into NEET-UG paper leak.
The accused have been held from Patna, Bihar, and are identified as Manish Kumar and Ashutosh Kumar.
The CBI formed special teams to probe into the case amid the ongoing roar over grace marks being given to selective student and about 67 students getting perfect 720 marks. However, the National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts the exam, decided to cancel the grace marks assigned to 1,563 students, and scheduled a re-test for them on June 23. Out of the 1,563 students, only 52 per cent students have opted for re-test.
Bihar government, on Monday, issued a notification regarding handing over the paper leak case to the CBI.
