The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to conduct the compartment examinations for classes 10 and 12 from September 22 to 29.
“The compartment examination for the two classes will begin from September 22 and will conclude on September 29. All candidates will carry their own hand sanitiser in transparent bottles and (their own) water bottles, and will be required to cover their mouth and nose with mask or cloth,” said CBSE Exam Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj in an official notification detailing the exam schedule.
Earlier today, a bench comprising Justices AM Khanwilkar, Dinesh Maheshwari and Sanji Khanna had asked CBSE to file a short affidavit in response to a plea seeking postponement of compartment exams for Class 12 and had fixed the hearing on September 10. The plea stated that holding examination during the pandemic situation would be unsafe for the students. However, CBSE had opposed the plea stating that all “necessary” precautions are being taken with regards to COVID-19 pandemic.
