After being postponed for months due to the covid-19 crises, the Joint Entrance Exam will be conducted in September 2020. There are a certain guidelines that have to follow every year, but considering the situation due to the pandemic, students must take extra care this year.
Important guidelines to be followed due to covid 19 crises:
- Candidates should report to the exam halls an hour earlier as authorities will be conducting proper tests due to ongoing covid-19 crises
- The examination is scheduled from September 1 to 6. Time slots have also been provided to tackle the problem of overcrowding. Students must strictly arrive at their allotted time only.
- Candidates must be seated properly and rules of social distancing must be maintained in the examination hall.
- Parents must not overcrowd the gates. They are requested to leave the premises as soon as possible, unless necessary.
General guidelines for JEE examination:
- Candidates have to carry their admit cards and one id proof to the examination center. No other documents or bags will be allowed inside.
- However geometry boxes and colour pencils are allowed, but only for JEE paper number 2
- No food items will be allowed inside examination halls. Diabetic candidates can carry fruits and transparent water bottles but not packed food items.
- Although NTA has not specified any dress code, students must keep it light and simple. Wearing jewellery, caps or scarfs are prohibited. Candidates wearing a specific dress code due to religious reasons must reach the examination center early and get themselves checked by the authorities.
Apart from these important guidelines, students must be modest and abide by the regulations given by the NTA. No student should indulge in any form of malpractices otherwise they will be debarred from the exam.
