Two jawans martyred in a terrorist attack in Srinagar

As India mourns the 26/11 attack, Kashmir gets attacked by terrorists, martyring two jawans. After 12 years of the Mumbai attack, the story of terrorism continues.

On Thursday, terrorists attacked security personnel in the HMT area located on the outskirts of Srinagar city. Where one side the country is mourning the 26/11 attack, on the other side, the security forces deployed in Srinagar lay dead.

The attack comes two days ahead of the first phase of the District Development Council (DDC) election in the Union Territory.

The election will be conducted in Jammu and Kashmir in eight phases between November 28 and December 19, and the counting of votes will take place on December 22.

On November 19, security forces terminated four terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammed, an alleged Pakistani terrorist group. The brute force took place in Nagrota, Jammu and Kashmir.

Inspector-General of Police, Mukesh Singh, Jammu Zone said it was possible that they were planning to massacre and target DDC elections in the Union territory.
