India’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh landed in Tehran on the 5th of September. The visit is to discuss bilateral defence efforts.
The Defense Minister’s visit followed a statement he made regarding the tensions in the Persian Gulf.
He said, “We are deeply concerned about the situation in the Persian Gulf.” He added, “We call upon countries in the region – all of which are dear and friendly to India, to resolve differences by dialogue based on mutual respect, sovereignty and non-interference in internal affairs of each other.”
